Thomas James Dawson's Obituary
Thomas James Dawson, "Tom" age 64 was born in Jackson, Michigan on February 6, 1957, to the late Jerry and Mary Dawson and passed away on August 28, 2021.
Tom is survived by his wife of 35 years, Teri Dawson; children, Curtis (Dacia) Dawson, Lisa Stover, Joe Dawson, Christine (Bill) Sturgis; grandchildren, Samantha, Isabella, Ayden, Amaya, Zailyn, Addeline, Maisie, Jillian, Jaxon, Dylan, Chelsea, Gabriel, Calvin and Jay; siblings, Ellen Fogel, Mary Jane Cook, Patrick Dawson, Suzanne Lack, Kathleen (Jim Sierminski) Dawson; sister-in-law, Lori Dawson. He was preceded in death by a daughter Jennifer Stover; two brothers, Jerry Dawson and Richard "Dick" Dawson.
Tom loved to tinker with everything; from general household items to his passion being cars and bicycles. He loved dancing with his best girl Teri to Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight". He loved his family time which included bike rides in the summer and ice skating the frozen lakes of West Michigan.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place. Tom and Teri are members of New Beginnings Church, 1830 White Lake Drive, Whitehall, Michigan where a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Jeremy Errickson officiating. Visitation will be held, also at the church, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. Interment will take place in Eagle Cemetery in New Era, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Susan Mast ALS Foundation, in memory of Thomas James Dawson, his two brothers, Richard and Jerry Dawson, and their uncle Charles Dawson.
