Thomas Vernon Reed?passed away of a broken heart in hishome?on?December 19, 2016?at the age of?74.Tom?was preceded in death by?his loving wife,?NadineReed on March?17, 2016. They were united in marriage onJuly 6, 1963 and would have been married 53 years.Tom is lovingly remembered by?his oldest son and daughterin law Randy and Richell Reed,?youngest son Steven Reed,grand children Ethan Reed, Desirae Reed and Cody Reed and his threebeautiful great grand children Cali, Carson and Rae Lynn.Tom was born in?Elkhart, IN?on March 13,1942.?He?graduated from?Muskegon Heights HighSchool,?and went on to join the United State Air Force inHenderson NV AFB until 1966.?His proudest moments in hiscareer was working for the Civil Defense and Michigan StatePolice Emergency Services Division. Tom dabbled inelectronics and was a licensed Amateur Radio Operator. His hobbieswere gun collecting, photography and historical militaryliterature. His first love was God and second was hisbeautiful wife Nadine, and his two boys. The visitation and funeral service?will be heldat?Evanston Avenue Baptist Church,?1188 Evanston Ave,Muskegon MI 49442?on?January 7, 2017. Visitation to startat Noon and Funeral Services at 1:00 pm?with?Pastor MattSharpe?officiating. Luncheon to follow services.
