Thomas P. "Tommy"? Smith was born in Muskegon on December 8, 1957 to the late James and Leora Smith. Tommy is survived by a daughter, Tiffany Stapleton of Muskegon and a son, Justin Stapleton of Wisconsin; grandsons, Blake and Dakota; granddaughters, Ali and Makalya; five other grandchildren and little buddy Thomas Newaygo; siblings, Harley (Barb) Smith, Diana (Gary) Thornberg, Vicky Smith, and Jacklyn Boucher. Along with his parents Tommy was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Smith. Tommy was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was an avid bowler and gamer. He loved and cherished his Dog Luie, best friend until the end. He worked for Bold's Furniture and previously for Shape Corporation and was a member of River of Life Church. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at Shoreline Memorial Services Chapel on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family in care of Tiffany Stapleton.
