Vernon G. McPheron's Obituary
Vernon G. McPheron age 74 was born on August 30, 1943 in Muskegon to Vernon L. and Myrtle R. (Morphew) McPheron and passed away at Sanctuary at the Shore on January 22, 2018. Vernon was preceded in death by his father, Vernon; a brother, Barry McPheron; sister, Marlene Hagen; two grandsons, Jimmy VanAndel Jr. and Jacob Garza. He is survived by his mother, Myrtle McPheron; children, Vernon McPheron, Diane (Jeff) Welc, Michelle (Don) Morey; eight grandchildren, Candace (Christian) Smith, Brett McPheron, Alyse McPheron, Shawnna (Justin) Wood, Robert Jones, Brandon Morey, Codey Morey and Sarah Garza; five great-grandchildren, Braxton Smith, Katie VanAndel, Chase Hanis, Rebecca Wood and Laila VanAndel; siblings, Howard (Marie) Allen, Merlin (Naurin) McPheron, Lois (John) Gibson; several nieces and nephews. Vernon worked for Dresser/Lift-Tech and was retired from Supreme Machine in Grand Haven. He was a member of the Fruitport Eagles, was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed fishing. He enjoyed playing euchre and visiting the casino. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at Shoreline Memorial Services Chapel, on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with a time of memory sharing starting at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
