Viola Margaret Walsh's Obituary
Date of Birth: 01/16/1929 to Passing date: 01/30/2025.
Viola is survived by her five children. Sue, Dan, Cindy, Chris and Colleen, and many grand-children and great grand-children. She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Butch.
She loved each one of her Grand-Children and Great-Grandchildren. She was always looking forward to spending time with them. She is also survived by her own very special nieces and nephews and some very special lifelong friends. She was especially happy to enjoy the last few months of her life with a dear friend and sister-in-law, Dona Zack.
Viola was an avid gardener and loved to talk about her flower garden, enjoying walks throughout it with family and friends. She was also very interested in politics and would have made an excellent lawyer, should life have been different. In her work life when times were lean, she would work long hours to make sure she could give her family the best she could, often sacrificing her own sleep and time off. She was always ready to share a cup of coffee across the table with you and chat. She was a loyal friend and confidant. Whenever it came to say goodbye at the end of a visit with her, she would always follow you out to the car-taking advantage of every moment she spent with you.
A memorial service to celebrate Viola's life will be held in the spring of 2025, with details to be announced at a later date, followed by a private burial at Assumption Cemetery in Rothbury, Michigan, next to her brother David G. Zack.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made in her honor to:
