Walter W. "Walt" Walsh age 80 was born on June 11, 1935 in Escanaba, Michigan to the late Warren and Kathryn (Preston) Walsh and passed away at 2:24 a.m. on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Select Specialty Hospital in Muskegon. Walter is survived by his children, Suzanne (David) Frederick, Walter "Butch"? Walsh Jr., Daniel Walsh, Cynthia (Ross) McCloskey, Christopher Walsh, Colleen Walsh, Miriam (Abel) Walsh-Cabral, R. James (Alexandrea) Walsh, Silvia Walsh; 22 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Frances (Donald) Griffis and Leona Simpkins; former spouses, Viola Walsh and Ana Garcia. Walter was preceded in death by 2 siblings, Wilbur J. Walsh and Rose Glore. Walt was the owner and manager of many companies including the parts manager of the Ford dealership in Whitehall. He was a licensed private pilot who enjoyed flying on the weekends along with boating and fishing. His favorite restaurant was Buffalo Wild Wings. He was a fan of Sci-Fi movies, his favorite being "Independence Day"?. He enjoyed spending time with family including traveling to see family in Chicago. Walt enjoyed life and had a sarcastic sense of humor. According to his wishes private family services will be held. Interment will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will take place at the home of Cindy and Ross, also on Wednesday, starting at 5:00 p.m.
