Wanda Lou Powers' Obituary
Wanda Lou Powers was born on August 4, 1940, in Franklin, Indiana to the late Bill and Pauline Potter and passed away on April 25, 2024. Survivors include her husband of over 60 years, Jim Powers; three children, Brian, Tracy and Amy; four grandchildren, Jesse, Isabel, Alice and Olivia; Sister Judy (Tom) and many nieces and nephews. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Doug (Sue).
Wanda grew up in Montague Michigan and graduated from Montague High School with the class of 1958. Wanda was an avid reader, gardener, and loved to cook. Wanda always dreamed of living in the country and having horses and this wish was fulfilled when the family moved to a farm in Ravenna, Michigan in 1973.
According to her wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at the American Legion Hall, 3590 Conklin St. Ravenna, Michigan on Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the American Lung Association.
