Wayne W. Secrest's Obituary
Wayne W. Secrest, 59, was born on January 13, 1960 in Muskegon to the late Richard and LaVerna Secrest. Wayne loved his coffee, enjoyed old-fast cars, and was very involved with Timberland Charter Academy and Reeths-Puffer. He had so much pride as a foster parent and did a lot of volunteer work for the school and the foster care program. He was everyone's first call when help was needed and nothing compared to the love and devotion he had for The Lord, his wife Jacolyn, and their 14 children. His smile was contagious and his laugh was easy to pick out of a crowd. Heart of gold and rough around the edges, the Lord called him home on August 19, 2019. Wayne is survived by his wife Jacolyn S. Secrest; His Children: Natalie (Chris) Pavwoski, Joseph (Jessica) Clay, Brian (Dylan) Branch, Cameron (Skylar) Secrest, Sylvester, Kaylee, Tyler, Brianna, Nathaniel, Kadence, Chloe, Mary, Logan, and Kyla; His grandchildren: Tyler, Bella, Vance, Ashleigh, Avery, Austin, Addison, Serenity, Arianna, Tanner, James, Chase, and Jace; His siblings: Jean Baker, Kathe Secrest, Debbie (Dan) Thompson, Larry Secrest. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Laverne Secrest; his granddaughter, Nevaeh Branch; his brothers, Richard Secrest, Verne Secrest, Robert Secrest; and his nephew, Benjamin Funderburg.
Funeral Services for Wayne will be held at Grace Bible Church, 3053 Evanston Ave. on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 12:00 noon. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. A celebration of life will be held immediately after the service. Followed by private and intimate burial ceremony.
