William "Bill" Francis Bos' Obituary
William "Bill" Francis Bos, P.E., age 87, went to be with the Lord on April 13th,
2021. He was born May 22, 1933, in Muskegon, Michigan. He was preceded
in death by his parents Beatrice (Culbert) Bos and Jack Bos. On June 25,
1955, he married the love of his life, Jo Ann (Spoelma) Bos. William was a
devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a parishioner of
Community United Methodist Church of North Muskegon. Bill will be greatly
missed by his family: His wife, Jo Ann, of 65 years; children, Lee Ann (Arde)
Ramthun of Connecticut, and Paul (Margie) Bos of Muskegon; grandchildren,
Chris (Christy) Ramthun, Rick (Sarah) Ramthun, Jack (Mary) Ramthun,
Casey (Erika) Ramthun and Kyle Bos; great-grandchildren, Courtney, Kaylee,
Travis, Austin, Riley, Elizabeth, Emily, Laura, and Lily Ramthun; sisters, Ann
(Wayne) Douglas and Jan Spears; brother-in-law, Jerry Spoelma. Along with
several nieces, nephews, and cousins. William was a graduate of the
University of Michigan with a degree in Aerospace Engineering along with
advanced studies at the University of Alabama and the University of Maryland.
He worked for Chrysler Corporation - Missile Division, Army Ballistic Missile
Agency, Bendix Systems Division, and NASA. He then started his own
business, Bos Engineering, PC. He was a past member of the Industrial
Advisory Board - Aerospace Engineering at the University of Michigan and a
trustee of the Michigan Aviation Hall of Fame. Bill was inducted into the
Michigan Aviation Hall of Fame in 1996. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Community United Methodist Church, located 1614 Ruddiman Drive in North Muskegon..
