William J. DeBoer's Obituary
William DeBoer Jr., age 87, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015. He was born in Muskegon on August 1, 1928 to William and Grace (Kamp) DeBoer. William is survived by his wife of over 52 years, Rachel (Meerman); children, Cheryl (John) Ortquist of Muskegon and Mary (Leo) Loera of NY; six grandchildren, Sarah (fianc? Eric Visser) Ortquist of Muskegon, Tyler Ortquist of Muskegon, Christian (Belinda) DeBoer of AZ, Adam (Evelyn) Loera of Seoul Korea, Amanda Cortes and Ana Loera, both of NY; several great-grandchildren; sister, Cora (Rolly) Hyma of Zeeland; sister-in-law, Hermie DeBoer of Muskegon; many nieces and nephews; beloved dog, Parker. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Julius (Mildred) DeBoer, Ralph (Lorraine) DeBoer and Frank DeBoer. William had worked at Shaw Walker for 40 years retiring in 1989. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Bethel Baptist Church of Fruitport, 213 Oak St. in Fruitport. Visitation will be held on Monday from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the church and one hour prior to service time from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church. Burial at Fruitport Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Bethel Baptist Church of Fruitport or the Mona Shores Marching Band.
