William T. Morse, Jr.'s Obituary
William Thomas Morse, Jr. passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022, surrounded by his family.
Bill was born to William and Anna Morse on June 22, 1938, and lived his entire life in Muskegon, Michigan.
On August 29, 1958, Bill married Beverly Weichner. In their 64 years together, they raised three children and welcomed many grandchildren and great-grandchildren into their family.
Bill worked for 32 years at Naph-Sol/Zephyr in Muskegon, and then spent over 20 years as Building and Grounds Supervisor for Ottawa County. He loved working with his hands and was known for his ability to build or fix almost anything. He enjoyed maintaining his house and yard and was often seen out mowing the grass or blowing snow on one of his John Deere tractors.
Husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa were the roles he cherished most. His family knew, every single day of their lives, that he loved and treasured them.
Bill is survived by his wife Beverly, his children Lynn Morse, Pam Wheeler (Rodger Wierenga), and William (Michelle) Morse III; grandchildren Cynthia Bloomstrom, Thomas Woodland (Melissa DeMorrow), Sarah (Mike) Pendell, Stephanie (Brian) Achterhoff, Hillary (RJ) Frank, Megan Wheeler (Justin Bowen), Ben (Kacey) Wheeler, and Anna Morse; great-grandchildren Ashleigh Loomis, Michael Pendell, Lorelei Pendell, Mya Vellenga, Arleigh Achterhoff, Rylin Achterhoff, Carmen Vellenga, Cole Achterhoff, Desmond Frank, and Dax Wheeler; sister Joan (Jim) Deters; brother-in-law, Loren Schultz; many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brothers Larry Morse, Howard Morse, and Roger Morse; sisters Ruth Nordstrom and Judi Schultz; granddaughter Katie Kalinowski; mother- and father-in-law Frederick and Evelyn Weichner.
Bill's family invites you to join them on Tuesday, September 13, at 11 a.m. for a graveside service at East Dalton Oakhill Cemetery, on the corner of Pillon Road and M120/Holton Road. A luncheon will follow immediately after at Bridge Bible Church Dalton Campus, 3777 Holton Road, Muskegon, MI 49445.
