William Duane Sheffer's Obituary
William D. Sheffer, age 82 was born on May 10, 1941, to the late John S. and Ruth (Smith) Sheffer and passed away on November 17, 2023. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Fran; daughter, Rebecca, granddaughter, Lindsey, and sister, Marlene (Lyle) Wilks. Survivors include five children, Lori (Daria) Sheffer, Scott (Jodi) Storm, Shawn (Darlene) Storm, Denise Sheffer, William (Jonnel) Sheffer II; several grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren.
William retired from American Coil Spring after 46 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman, and gardener. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family gathering will be held. He will be interred next to his wife and daughter in Egleston Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
