As a child and young man Bruce was full of life and fun. As an adult he faced problems with-out loosing his positive out-look.
I will miss his enthusiastic greetings each summer when we crossed paths.

My husband, Jerry Thomas, and I enjoyed Bruces company at the Dock Side. We looked forward to the weekend so we could ride by in the pontoon, listen to music and have a glass of wine and some great food. He was always so generous with everything, always willing to turn a sprinkler on for the kids or the dogs. I have pictures of the beautiful place he had there and loved taking friends over. We have missed his company in the past few years but he is always in our hearts.
Condolences from both myself & brother Dean. We had some fun together when we were kids & they had a house near us on White Lake. I was fortunate to have received one of those Bruce hugs a few years ago when we ran into each other at The Lakeside Inn boat launch. He was in a wetsuit installing docks, & I was in a dry suit going diving. Sure looked funny, but it was heartfelt & totally Bruce!
Bruce called me several months ago to share his new address in Roosevelt Park and we figured out it was the same house I lived in as a child! It was so good to talk to him. He was a good friend in our youth. We reconnected in Sarasota decades later. We visited his mom, Mary, in hospital. Bruce told me in recent years that while his actions did not always provide the results he looked for, his intentions were always good. His happy, huge heart will be with everyone he loved forever. Rest in peace, dear friend. I miss you.
