Bruce Robert Baetzel's Obituary
Bruce Robert Baetzel age 66 was born on December 27, 1951 to the late Edward and Mary K. Baetzel and passed away on February 7, 2018. Bruce is survived by his two daughters, Megan (Jonathan) Blake and Kelly (Tanner) Darcy; grandson, Owen Darcy, along with the "mother of my children" and dear friend, Patsy Fortenbacher. Bruce had a huge heart that was filled with love for his dogs, his daughters, and anyone that had the pleasure to meet him. He was a father, a friend, a pirate, and a sailor. He lived his life to the fullest with no apologies. He loved the feel of the wind in his hair, whether it be in a convertible or a boat. He was the life of a party, told amazing stories, and had an infectious laugh. Bruce gave the best hugs. He never failed to make everyone he came across feel special with a hug, a kiss, a compliment, or just a wave in passing. He spent the majority of his life owning and operating the South Shore Marina in Whitehall with an open door policy, as well as music and laughs for all visitors. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Harbor Hospice.
