I have known Carol since nursing school days at Hackley. As long as I knew her Phil was always a part of her life. She also was great at initiating prayer groups and Bible studies. Of course, she will also be remembered for all the care she lovingly rendered to physically impaired persons. She truly did bless many lives.

I remember with fondness the times Roger and I shared with you, Carol and friends from Bethel Baptist Church, The Dulcimer Festival in Evart, Mi.
You and Carol were the epitome of faith, love and talent.

I was so sorry to learn of the passing of Carol. I met Phil and Carol 26 years ago in the Holland Wooden Shoe Dulcimer Club where my daughter fell in love with the hammered dulcimer.
Phil and Carol were instrumental in our involvement in this now lifelong musical adventure.
They were so kind and encouraging.
What I observed about Phil & Carol, is their devotion to each other. I always witnessed tenderness and them putting each other first. Their marriage was one to be admired.
Phil was a leader in the dulcimer life, and Carol always by his side - also learning to play the hammered dulcimer.
What I will remember is watching the two of them walk around the campground every day - holding hands. Phil, as you continue your earthly journey, you can feel Carol still holding your hand.
