Enoch & Joan, Jim, my sincerest condolences to you on the loss of your beautiful Christine! I worked at Spring Hill on the work-study program in the fall of 1984 and met Chris then. It was talking to her and taking Marks theology class that opened me up to going to college, which I did in January 1984. Then a few summers later, Chris called me and said she needed some help in the kitchen and would I like a summer job? Of course I jumped at the chance! She was so patient, calm, professional, and gracious in the kitchen, which could be hectic at times, and that grace under pressure really made an impression on me. I can only imagine that is how she approached her illness. Over the years we lost track of each other, but Ill never forget Chris or who she was in Jesus, and I cant wait for the day we meet again.
I will keep you all in my prayers, asking God to give you His all-sufficient grace as you face each days grief journey.
