Dawn Betty Leady's Obituary
Dawn B. Leady, age 86 was born in Traverse City, Michigan on March 16, 1935, to the late Harley D. and Reva A. (Stockfisch) Barber and passed away at home on January 18, 2022. Dawn was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years and 1 day, Carlyle F. Leady Jr.; a son, Randall J. Leady; and her sister, Janet Hines. Survivors include, her children, Carolyn (Ed) Kotecki, Scott Leady, Deana (Alan) Richter, Brenda (Brian Plouhar) Leady, Monica (Patrick Vance) Slocum; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, Roger Barber and Neal Barber.
Dawn was a homemaker who cherished her family, was a dedicated Red Cross volunteer, and Kidney Foundation supporter. She was also a longtime member of Fifth Reformed Church. According to her wishes cremation has taken place. She will be interred in Sunrise Memorial Gardens with her husband Carlyle during a family graveside service at a later date.
