Homer A. Marsh's Obituary
Homer Arndt Marsh, age 94, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family, on Sunday, January 7, 2018.
He was born on June 5, 1923 in Curtice, OH to Perry and Edith Marsh. Homer is survived by his wife of 63 years, Hilda; children, Rev. Ellen (Ken) Schoepf of Okemos, Kathy (Wayne) Zahl of Twin Lake, Phillip Marsh of Norton Shores and Ralph (Kristie) Marsh of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; special K-9 friend, Duke. He was preceded in death by a brother, Byron Marsh.
Homer worked as an ordained Lutheran minister for over 24 years, retiring in 1977. Music was a big part of his life and he owned and operated Baldwin Music Center. Homer also was a music director at several Muskegon area churches. He enjoyed gardening and especially growing his tomatoes.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Forest Park Covenant Church, 3815 Henry St. in Norton Shores. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time at the church. Burial at Norton Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Life Circles, 560 Seminole Rd., Muskegon, MI 49444.
