October 28, 2016 I was in a tragic accident and his daughter Shannon and her husband Bill were at the scene. Shannon called Jim Bob and asked if she could pray over me. She explained the situation and Jim Bob said yes this would be a good time for that. And so she prayed over me and I recalled hearing her voice and it was life saving for me. I refused to give up; because of that selfless act. So simple, but as powerful as Moses parting the waters. Jim Bob explained all of this to me. I trusted and believed everything he said to me. God is good.
He was a dear friend to my parents for over 3 decades. I consider Both Him and Patty, my family. He was Honest, Loyal, Filled with Jesus, Sprending the Word of God and His redemptive power everywhere he went. His hugs were genuinely caring and the just the very best. What an awesome example of God's Love.
My sincerest condolences to the Thornton family. I worked for Jim many times as a fellow member of Local 174.
We were both retired Navy and had many things in common.
I know he will be missed.
My husband , Don worked with Jim Bob 174 local plumbers . They really enjoyed working together . They shared their faith and love for the Lord . Now they are walking together on streets of gold. Patty , you and your family are in my prayers.
