Joy, you became my special sister when your mom married my father-in-law late in their lives after both being widowed. We embraced you and your family wholeheartedly from the first and you've been family ever since. I can hear your chuckle which threatens to burst into laughter. You were a prayer warrior often praying early in the morning. You loved Bryce and stood by him through the good and the not so good. You loved your kids and grandkids with abandon. You were a gifted hostess and made us welcome in your home. You and Bryce drove only 1" out of your way (on the map) all the way to Canton, OH to see us "on your way" back to Louisiana the day we were having my parents estate sale which was also the day my mom died. My last text from you was 11 March. I have all the ones that came before as well and will always treasure them. I miss you so much. I shared your love of being by the water and enjoyed walking down to Lake Michigan with you. Most of all you loved Jesus and served Him. I know I'll see you again.
Condolences to the Sherwood and Savage Families in the homegoing of Joy Sherwood, now she is rejoicing with other believers in Christ and has gratuated from this temporary home to her eternal life with her Lord and Savior.
