Richard Lee "Rick" Johnson's Obituary
Richard Lee Johnson "Rick" was born on December 4, 1957, in Maquoketa, Iowa to the late Don Johnson and Marilyn (Frank) Hirons and passed away at home on February 6, 2022. Rick is survived by his wife of 17 years, Brenda Johnson; sons, Eric (Casey) Johnson, and Matt Johnson both of White Cloud, Michigan, Rob Reese of Newaygo, Michigan, Travis (Lisa) Reese of North Muskegon, Michigan; grandchildren, Angela, Bryn, & Vivian Johnson, Carson & Cooper Reese; sisters, Sue Peska of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and Kristie Johnson of Hopkins, Michigan; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Mick Johnson, and Charlie "Chuck" Johnson.
Rick was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed both hunting and fishing. He was retired from MSI in Grand Haven. Rick loved spending time with his grandchildren and especially attending family reunions. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life and Luncheon will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 26th, 2022, at Our Community Fellowship located at 4852 Bauer Road, Hudsonville, Michigan 49426. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
