Robert W. Kesterke's Obituary
Senior Master Sgt. Robert William Kesterke, born in Huron Twp., MI on May 13, 1945 to Walter G. Kesterke and Dorothy A. Weston, passed into God's loving arms on June 5, 2018 at his family home in Shebly, MI. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Grace E. Kesterke on December 2, 2008.
Robert decided to serve his country directly after high school graduation. He dedicated himself to the United States Airforce and his country on June 10, 1963 until he retired on June 30, 1983. After he retired he enjoyed fishing, teaching the word of God in others homes, travel, music and concerts. He enjoyed life, the great outdoors and of course food tastings.
Robert is survived by his children, Sylvia Kesterke-Russ of Montgomery, TX, Timothy Kesterke of Covington, GA and James Moulton Kesterke of Shelby, MI; step-children, Betty Lockhart of Shelby, MI, Bill Harmon of Skiatook, OK, Treasa Burkett of Kinde, MI, and Donna Blankenship of Sand Springs, OK; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 11:30 AM in Augusta, MI. There will be a celebration of life gathering, per Robert's wishes, at a later date and time.
