Robert "Orie" Whelpley's Obituary
Robert "Orie" Whelpley, age 86 was born on April 6, 1936, and passed away on October 13, 2022. Orie was preceded in death by his wife Blanche and a son Butch Whelpley. Survivors include, four children, Robert, Bill, Tina and Kevin; and several grandchildren.
Orie was retired from CWC and spent over 50 years as a volunteer fireman with the Dalton Township Fire Department. His passions in life were camping, hunting, and fishing. According to his wishes cremation has taken place. He will be interred with his wife Blanche in Twin Lake Cemetery. There will be a Celebration of Life at Twin Lake Cemetery on April 6, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.
