Steven Brock's Obituary
Steven Brock, 68, of Hesperia, Michigan, passed away at home on Friday, April 1, 2022, with his family at his side. In his typical fashion, Steve's positive attitude fiercely kicked cancer's butt for over 12 years. He was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa on December 16, 1953, and came to Muskegon with his parents Robert and Evelyn Benninger when he was 13. His sister Cheri preceded him in death. Steve married the former Lynn Yonkers on October 18, 1975.
Survivors include his wife of over 47 years, Lynn; beloved son Jason and his wife Angie, cherished grandchildren, Wyatt and Lily "Lillian"' his parents, Robert and Evelyn Benninger; Buter siblings; Randy and Cheryl, Greg and Carolbeth, Jeff, Darla and Dan, Cyndi; special cousins, Wendy and Dr. Bernie Klostermann of Wellman, Iowa, John and Cynthia Ferguson of Dallas, Texas.
Steve was a small business owner, avid outdoorsman, golfer, and devoted family man. He sends his love to all of his family, cousins, and friends. "I am the luckiest man alive, and I want everyone to know."
According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Gathering will take place at the VFW Post #3195 located at 5209 Grand Haven Road in Norton Shores, on Friday, May 6, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Special Olympics of Michigan.
